There are plenty of good reasons why drinking water daily is beneficial to your health. Aside from being the second most popular drink behind soda, the sharp decrease in sales of diet drinks over the years is due to people drinking more water.
But eight glasses a day? While it's just a guideline, drinking several glasses a day will replenish the fluids lost daily which in return, keeps your body hydrated and your skin looking radiant.
Another benefit of water is that it helps control calories. Did you know that drinking a glass or two prior to eating a meal helps you feel fuller faster and as a result, you eat less?
Add to that, drinking water prevents muscle fatigue. It's especially important when exercising so make sure to have bottled water handy to hydrate yourself before, during, and after working up a sweat.
Other health benefits include helping your kidneys function better and cleanse your body of toxins. Preventing constipation and maintaining normal bowel movement is always a good thing.
